 Michele
Rigsby Pauley: Cedars-Sinai Hospital Coach for Kids,
Bringing Healthcare to Children in the Inner City.
Michele Rigsby Pauley, RN, MSN, CPNP is Program Director for the COACH for KidsŪ
and Their Families program at Cedars-Sinai. Ms. Rigsby Pauley is responsible for
the programmatic and clinical operations of a full range of comprehensive
community outreach, including medical, mental health, case management, nutrition
and dental services provided by the COACH for KidsŪ program.
Ms. Rigsby Pauley is on the board of directors of the California School Health
Centers Association and is the co-founder and past chair of the Los Angeles
Coalition of Mobile Medical Units. She is a member of the California Coalition
for Childhood Immunizations/Los Angeles, the local and national chapters of
National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), the California
Association of Nurse Practitioners and is a founding board member of the
International Mobile Health Association. She has made numerous presentations,
both locally and nationally, about mobile healthcare for underserved children.
Ms. Rigsby Pauley is a recipient of the 2010 Professional Achievement Award from
the University of San Francisco Alumni Association, the 2010 California Nurse
Excellence Award in Teaching and the 2000 Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority Community
Service Award as well as numerous other commendations for excellence in
community . She was featured in the February 2001 edition of the American
Journal of Nursing,
which highlighted her work with COACH for KidsŪ. Ms. Rigsby Pauley was featured
in both the August 2010 and September 2010 issues of Nurse
Week.
Ms. Rigsby Pauley received her undergraduate training from the University of San
Francisco School of Nursing and her graduate training from the University of
California, San Francisco School of Nursing.
